2023 Ford Bronco
Reborn in 2021 after 25-year hiatus, the Ford Bronco is an SUV with tremendous off-roading capability and your choice of two or four removable doors. The Bronco features a retro-modern style that includes a white roof, white grille, and trail-friendly systems. For 2023, Ford is introducing a new limited-edition Bronco DR that's specifically designed to traverse sand and withstand hot weather on desert terrains. Boasting excellent craftsmanship and design, the Ford Bronco offers an outstanding balance of comfort and power. From styling to safety and performance, here's what you need to know about the iconic Ford Bronco.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Engineered for the ultimate outdoor experience, the 2023 Ford Bronco comes in six trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, and Wildtrak. All the models are available in two- or four-door styles and can be equipped with a galore of off-road and tech components. While the Base hoards a raft of cutting-edge infotainment tools, the higher trims add sporty and off-road chops such as all-terrain tires, bigger wheels, and LED fog lights. At the top of the lineup, you get more power and better off-road capability features, such as the G.O.A.T drive mode and disconnecting stabilizer bar.
Engine (Power)
The 2023 Ford Bronco comes standard with a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that crunches 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. Also available is the salient 2.3-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine that produces 330 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. The base four-cylinder engine pairs with a seven-speed manual transmission while the optional V-6 engine connects to a 10-speed automatic transmission system. Every Bronco has a four-wheel-drive system as standard and a robust independent front suspension unit. All 2023 Broncos can tow up to 3, 500 pounds.
Performance
Whichever engine option you choose, the Bronco delivers power to the four wheels efficiently, leading to smooth and comfortable rides. A fine connection between the transmission and engine system allows the Ford Bronco to rev from zero to 60 mph in 7.3 seconds. Drivers who want more power and thrill behind the wheel can equip their vehicles with the available Sasquatch off-road package. The Bronco not only excels in acceleration but also performs well on curves, rocky landscapes, and muddy dirt roads. Ford equips the Bronco with class-leading performance features such as the High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) System.
Interior
Depending on the trim level, the stylishness and plushness of the interior go from standard on the base trims to lux on top-of-the-line models such as the Badlands and Wildtrak. The 2023 Bronco has comfortable seats with sufficient adjustments to make long rides cozier. The interior also has plenty of headroom and legroom, with ingenious storage options on the dash and seats. The interior is ultra-modern and features a standard 8-inch touchscreen that runs Ford's SYNC 4. You also get smartphone integration capability and plenty of USB ports.
Safety Features
The 2023 Ford Bronco doesn't compromise on safety. Its array of standard safety components includes hill start assist, automatic emergency braking, hill descent control, trailer sway damping, and trail turn assist. Also available are driver assistance features such as rear-cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and an adaptive cruise control system.
