Haybale Heights Campground

Haybale Heights Campground is a great place to go for a day trip near Devil’s Lake. It’s located just outside of the city of Washburn, which is roughly a 20-minute drive or so from Devil’s Lake. This campground boasts over 100 individual campsites, ranging from primitive to electrical sites, and a large group camping area.

There’s a swimming pool and a playground for kids, as well as a volleyball court and standard campground amenities like toilets, showers, laundry facilities, etc. Be sure to bring your own gear, though, as they only have the standard stuff. They also host lots of events and activities throughout the year, including a haunted hayride, so be sure to check their calendar before you go.
